In recent years, we celebrate Women’s History Month at a pivotal time for women’s equality worldwide.
Today, women have achieved record amounts of collective wealth and spending power – and yet, they are still severely underrepresented in the boardroom, as C-Suite leaders, and as founders. At the same time, career development resources for women are dwindling, which endangers the future of women’s ability to ascend to leadership and pursue success on their own terms. This leaves women with fewer, independent options for finding financial stability and overall quality of life.
Over time, society has done a better job embracing more ways women can show up in society and empowering them to chase their dreams – and yet, the road to progress isn’t over. At C200, our mission to inspire, educate, support, and advance current and future women entrepreneurs and corporate, profit-center leaders still stands – especially at this time when other organizations are closing doors on those efforts.
These times are pivotal for all women, not just those in business. Here at C200, we aren’t going anywhere. We will keep discussing important issues affecting women employees and leaders and keep providing community and resources to navigate the unique obstacles women face on the career ladder.
What’s more, we will continue to reiterate that, in addition to systemic change, women coming together in community to support one another is how we can bring about not only progress but also joy and connection during difficult times.
