Criteria

The C200 Peer Community is a sanctuary for the world’s most successful women business leaders and a resource to enrich each other and our businesses. Members are passionately supportive of each other and honor confidentiality. C200 members are highly satisfied and value the opportunities offered by the organization to connect, share wisdom, inspire, learn, celebrate and have fun.

Membership Criteria


Members are leading women executives from for-profit public and private companies, are key decision makers, and directly responsible for the success of their company’s bottom line. Our members have demonstrated a track record of success and accomplishments and are committed to giving forward to future businesswomen.

A candidate who fulfills the qualifications of membership will be evaluated against the following criteria:

Financial Responsibility
  • The Corporate Candidate should be responsible for the full P&L of the parent company or subsidiary/division generating annual revenues of at least $250 Million (such as CEO, COO, General Manager, Operating President)
  • The Entrepreneur Candidate should be responsible for the profit and loss of the company, should be reporting a minimum of $20 Million in annual revenues, and be a company founder and/or a majority or controlling owner

Special requirements are currently in place for the following industries:

  • Advertising/marketing – net revenue should be reported as opposed to gross billings
  • Commercial Banking – $250 million in revenue from net interest income, fees and capital gains
  • Consulting/Professional Services – In addition to meeting the financial criteria, a qualified candidate will be a member of the top tier management team; Candidate should be no further than two positions from the head of the Global Board
  • Investment Banking - minimum of $100 million in fees only
  • Travel industry, insurance, and real-estate – revenue is recorded based on commissions and fees
  • Venture capital – Corporate Executives: Firm manages $1 billion in assets; Candidate responsible for managing $250 million in assets. Entrepreneur: Company Founder; Manages $150 million in assets
  • Private Equity – Corporate Executives: Firm manages $3 billion in assets and the candidate is responsible for managing a minimum of $1 billion in assets. Entrepreneur: Manages $350 million in assets

Leadership Qualities


In addition to meeting the financial requirements, the following criteria will be considered in evaluating a candidate for membership:
  • Member of top tier management team
  • Key decision maker of company or operating unit with at least $250M in full P&L responsibility (such as CEO, COO, General Manager, Operating President)
  • One of three of highest ranking women in the company
  • Recognized leader within her industry,  industry board involvement, recognized in local or national business resources
  • Track record of success, length of time in current position, past positions, and accomplishments
  • Involved in philanthropic endeavors, community activities, and committed to promoting women’s leadership and women’s initiatives
  • Personal and professional integrity
Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit i.e. risk taker, visionary, innovator, and change agent within her company or industry
  • Founder of a company or successfully grown a company or business unit
Philanthropic Activities
  • Involved in philanthropic endeavors, community activities, and committed to promoting women’s leadership and women’s initiatives
Extraordinary Career Accomplishments
  • Examples include: Created new industry category, recognized leader in her industry, recipient of major business excellence or career accomplishment awards, identified in nationally recognized publication list of top individuals or other notable achievements

Additional Considerations

  • In determining qualifications of candidates, we are considering their whole career
  • A candidate who does not meet the membership criteria today, but clearly met the criteria within the last three years, will be considered
  • The Board of Directors may approve additional factors for consideration on a case-by-case basis.
